Let us know about your child, family and interest in our school here.

Tour & Interview

If a spot becomes available for your child, we will contact you to schedule a tour and interview. This is our chance to get to know you and your child and for you to get to know us!

*We do not do tours unless there is a possible spot to offer your child.*

Enrollment

Once your child has been offered a spot you have 48 hours to accept or deny the spot. If you accept we will send you the needed paper work and a $300 enrollment fee. If you are interested in a tailored tuition you will then complete a financial aid application through TADS.

Affording Hawthorn Montessori

One of our top priorities as educators and members of the Asheville community is to provide a tuition model that is sustainable, accessible and equitable.  As an independent school, tuition from our families is integral for us to operate and offer our work to children and families. We value the education that we provide and believe that finances should not be a determining factor in our enrollment and community.

We provide several options to emphasize our values with tailored tuition, childcare subsidies, and the opportunity scholarship. Montessori education should be accessible for any family who is interested and we invite you to join.

Tuition Rates

Our full day tuition rate is $10,914.

Tailored Tuition is our optional discounted tuition program for any family who may find the base tuition rate inaccessible. Tailored Tuition is assessed through a third-party program, TADS, to determine tuition assistance.

Childcare Subsidies

We accept N.C. Childcare subsidies.  Please visit the Buncombe County website for more information on the Childcare Subsidies program.

The Opportunity Scholarship

The Opportunity Scholarship provides tuition assistance for eligible students in Kindergarten-12th grade. Those who qualify can receive up to $6,492 per year. The program is income based and can lower our base tuition for eligible families. Visit the NCSEAA website to learn more about eligibility and apply for the Opportunity Scholarship. Please contact us if you have questions or need assistance in applying.

Child concentrating on writing

The child who has felt a strong love for his surroundings and for all living creatures, who has discovered joy and enthusiasm in work, gives us reason to hope that humanity can develop in a new direction.
